This event will celebrate the completion of Knoxville's newest biodiesel production unit. A joint partnership of the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture and the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, this biodiesel production unit is capable of converting waste vegetable oils to 250,000 gallons of biodiesel annually. Funded by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation's Alternative Fuels Innovation Grants program, this unit is bringing the future of biofuels to Knoxville!
